CPD Information

Practical Law is an authorised provider of CPD with the following regulatory bodies:

  • Solicitors' Regulation Authority (ref: EBY/CPDW)

  • Bar Standards Board

  • Association of Personal Injury Lawyers

Our professional development content also meets the needs and can be used to complete the annual CPD requirement with:

  • Law Society of Scotland

  • Chartered Institute of Legal Executives

Manage your CPD hours

Your 'My Account' page tracks the CPD hours that may be claimed, lists all content watched and whether the corresponding quizzes were passed. Here, you can also download certificates of completion.

Subscription administrators can also view the CPD records for all users on their organisation's account.

CPD Quiz

Where an item has a corresponding quiz, that quiz must be completed in order to claim the advertised number of CPD hours.

Upon successful completion of the quiz, a .pdf certificate will be automatically generated. This certificate can be used as evidence that you have fulfilled the requirements to claim CPD.

This is a requirement across all regulatory bodies for online content.

SRA & BSB content accreditation

The table below indicates which of our content types are accredited or unaccredited, as per the CPD requirements for the SRA and BSB only. Please see the individual item in our content catalogue for the number of hours to claim in accordance with the table.
